Who is the Angie in Angie’s Pet Plaza? Angie Faulkner was an animal lover and an “Enid girl” who left us too soon. Angie graduated from Enid High School and went to the University of Colorado. She studied in England, taught English in Japan, worked in New Zealand and spent a summer in Costa Rica. She had an MBA from Phillips University and was working on her Masters in Psychology when she was killed in a car accident in April of 2002. Angie loved animals and her goal was always to get to do something for animals after school was finished and she was settled.
During the time of her passing there was a campaign and renovation happening at the Enid SPCA and her
family decided to donate monthly sums to help build and finance the store that we call Angie’s Pet Plaza. Doing this in her honor and helping her complete her goal of helping animals was a healing process for the family and they knew it’s what she would have wanted.
You may have noticed the brand new logo with a subtle angel wing on the A to symbolize her watching over the animals.
We wanted to share her story and thank her family again for this ongoing gift of support. People make the difference in our Enid SPCA shelter.
She is pictured above in the photo with their German Shepherd Queenie and English Bulldog Elvis.
Angie’s Pet Plaza has been a buzz lately with new products and your purchases in Angie’s Pet Plaza help support our shelter and programs. This allows us to offer a variety of quality pet nutrition products and pet related items. Please come see us and think of the store as a place to get great food and items for your pet while giving something back to your shelter friends. You too can make a difference.
