2016 Was a Record Breaking Year

Sally is a 2 year old pointer mix. We rescued her from Enid Animal Control. Sally had a sweet personality and instantly won our hearts. Unfortunately, Sally tested positive for heartworms which meant she had to spend at least 6 weeks with us being restricted to very low activity – doctor’s orders. Sally made it through the treatment just fine and was the perfect patient. Just as she was finishing up her treatment a military veteran, Jimmy, walked through the front doors of the ESPCA. He was looking to adopt a dog to use as his certified therapy dog. We knew just the right dog for him, Sally! The rest is history. Last week Jimmy stopped in with Sally to let us know she had passed her service dog certification. She’s Jimmy’s constant companion and is right by his side everywhere he goes. If it were not for you and the support you give to the ESPCA Sally would have never had an opportunity to be. And for that we are very thankful to you!
