My husband and I moved to a new house in Enid in July. We had a stray cat that we had taken in months before who loved our one year old daughter and was a wonderful addition to our family. He was truly the best house cat we could have asked for. In August Strike ran out the front door of our new house and not knowing his surroundings took off running. It was dark outside and we couldn’t find him anywhere. We went to the pound everyday, posted things online and in the paper and drove around our neighborhood for two weeks looking for him. After two weeks I decided that my one year old and I would go to the Enid SPCA and look at the cats they had available for adoption. When we arrived there was a black female cat now named Anna who looked almost identical to our old cat. My daughter started saying Strike as soon as she saw the cat and I knew we had to bring her home, with my husbands permission of course. Later that day I took my husband back to the SPCA to look at Anna. Anna had a litter mate named Elsa and they were the only two kittens left out of the litter. We decided to get Anna and when we opened the cage and put Anna in the pet carrier Elsa started crying and scratching at the cage and tried to get out to go with her sister. It was a sad sight to see her left by herself. My husband went over to the cage and started playing with the kitten and fell in love with her. He wanted to take Elsa home also. After talking we decided that we could care for both cats and they both came home with us. They are so much fun and are wonderful with out now 1.5 year old daughter. We couldn’t imagine not having them in our lives.
