Thinking about adoption?
Welcome and thank you for your interest in adopting an ESPCA shelter pet. Please browse our pet lists below and give us a call if you have any questions at 580-233-1325 or come see us 1116 Overland Trail. We are open Tuesday – Friday 11:00AM-5:00PM and Saturday 11:00AM-3:00PM. Please socialize with us on our facebook page as well. We often update our facebook page with new information and new pictures of all of our furry guests.
Every pet adopted from the ESPCA is spayed/neutered, microchipped and has had medical care.
The adoption fee does not start to cover the costs incurred for the care of the pets but it does help take some of the burden off the ESPCA. The ESPCA is a 501(c)3 non-profit and does not receive funding from local, state or national programs.
Every adoption requires an adoption application.
We will not ship any of our pets. We are happy to hold a pet a maximum of 24 hours once you are approved for adoption, if arrangements cannot be made in 24 hours we will move onto the next applicant.
The Adoption Process
The process begins when you submit an adoption application, which you can do here. Inquiries are processed in the order which they are received. We will begin processing the application as soon as the pet is ready to go home. We get the pet spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and get them started on monthly parasite preventatives. Once you are approved to adopt and the pet is ready to go home we will contact you.
What happens if you don't get the pet you want?
We process applications on a first come first serve basis. In the event someone else has turned in an adoption application before you and is approved to adopt the pet you were interested in we will contact you via email and you may choose a different pet or choose to just keep your application on file until the right pet comes along.
